Educational technology (edtech) isn’t an end in itself – it is a tool and medium that gives teachers the ability to reach students through the Internet, and can provide new opportunities and new ways to engage learners. The latest global pandemic has forced everyone to use edtech to mitigate the loss of face-to-face teaching and learning that has been the norm, and while the current situation is far from ideal in terms of effectiveness, educators will have to be creative and resourceful to make edtech work for them and for the benefit of all learners.
